Bluetooth + DAC + 3W Amplifier Module for LilyGO T-Display S3 Internet Radio
What is it?
This is a custom-designed Bluetooth + DAC + 3W amplifier module made exclusively for that LilyGO T-Display S3-based Internet Radio project.
The module combines Bluetooth audio, a digital-to-analog converter, and a 3W Class-D amplifier on a single compact PCB.
It is not a standalone product and is designed to work only with The MicroMaker official Internet Radio firmware.
The board integrates
📡 Bluetooth audio module
Stream music wirelessly to:
- Bluetooth speakers
- Bluetooth headphones
- AirPods and similar Bluetooth devices
🔊 MAX98357A audio chip
Functions as both:
- I2S Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC)
- 3W Class-D audio amplifier
Direct connection to the LilyGO T-Display S3
The module uses the same header layout as the LilyGO T-Display S3, allowing it to connect directly to the board without adapter wires.
This provides a clean and compact solution for building the Internet Radio.
Why did I make it?
This Module was designed specifically for The MicroMaker Internet Radio project to provide a clean, compact, and fully integrated audio solution.
Instead of using separate Bluetooth, DAC, and amplifier modules, everything is combined into one optimized PCB that:
- Matches the LilyGO T-Display S3 header layout
- Works directly with The MicroMaker official firmware
- Reduces wiring complexity
- Makes the DIY build cleaner and more reliable
- Provides both Bluetooth audio and direct speaker output

- Requires a LilyGO T-Display S3 with header pins.
- The module should be soldered directly to the LilyGO T-Display S3 headers.
- Additional soldering is required for:
- Speaker wires
- On/Off button
- Requires installation of our custom Internet Radio firmware.
- A firmware license key must be purchased separately to activate the radio.

- This is a DIY product intended for users who are comfortable with soldering and basic electronics assembly.

Great little module! It sounds great through the internal speaker and my Bluetooth speakers, and I can also listen to music using Bluetooth headphones. I like it a lot.

The board makes the wiring much simpler compared to using separate modules, and the direct connection to the T-Display S3 is very convenient. Bluetooth works well, and the built-in amplifier is excellent. Overall, a well-designed board.
